I learned a lot of history on this tour. The architecture on the West Point campus is amazing and even more amazing are the views of the mountains. I couldn’t stop staring at the mountains during the tour, but I had to listen to all the amazing history our tour guide was sharing. Amazing tour. I highly recommend it!

On June 14, the U.S. Army will turn 250 years old. Its birth during the beginning of the Revolutionary War is one stop along the road to America’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026. Since then, it has played a vital role in every major conflict to modern-day operations worldwide. To commemorate this historic milestone, my partner and I decided on a bus tour to the US Military Academy at West Point, which is the oldest war fort and military base in the US, sitting on the west bank of the Hudson River, 40 miles north of NYC. Reservations as well as security clearance were easily made via the website on the same day, with the extended tour lasting 2 hours to include the cemetery and chapel. West Point Tours provides a great experience to see and understand the US Military Academy's place in history and the future. Although established in 1802, the Academy was vital in the American Revolutionary War. Washington considered the location critical and had additional fortifications designed. Everywhere the bus traveled, we saw signs that read “Beat Navy!” This, of course, refers to the great rivalry the two military academies have enjoyed for decades. By far, the most magnificent and historic building is Cadet Chapel, which has dominated the landscape for more than 100 years. Reflecting the Gothic architecture of the late 14th century in England, it is constructed from granite quarried at West Point. Our tour guide, Chandrinka, was highly knowledgeable and took the time to really bring the history with her 17 years of experience. For visitors like us seeking a blend of scenic beauty, historical significance, and cultural enrichment, we can highly recommend as it was a truly educational and enlightening experience.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience when it came to wedding day. We used WPT to shuttle guests from our wedding venue to our other hotels. The female bus driver was extremely rude and unprofessional to our gracious guest. After the wedding many guests made comments to us about how awkward she made the ride and how rude she was. We paid a decent amount of money for our guests to have a good experience however that was not the case. She came storming into our after party screaming her rules… I am ashamed of WPT for allowing this. Not a good impression…

We had a great experience using West Point Tours buses for our wedding. Mary was very easy to communicate with. She even reached out to us a few weeks before our wedding because they became aware of a road closure that would impact our route, so we could adjust our departure time for our guests accordingly. I really appreciated her being proactive about this! Our drivers Colleen and Dee were also excellent. The school buses we chartered were clean, air conditioned, and comfortable.

Their email communication is like being in the military, but their tours are fantastic. It's a quick overview of the campus with the longest stop in the chapel but I feel like I learned quite a bit and appreciated the guide. A special bonus was the cadets or plebes on campus marching around and conditioning. You feel a little safer after visiting...
