Holness HomeI’ve been crocheting since I was 6, recently learned to knit. The quality of the yarn she has is incredible. As someone who is new to natural fibers and knitting, the owner is knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are fair too. Even if you don’t knit or crochet, she has beautiful finished projects available for purchase! Absolutely love it here!

L McGOutstanding local yarn shop with an incredible owner. A wide selection and variety of yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks and notions to bring your artistry over the top. Susan is an outstanding, knowledgeable needle artist/instructor and a true conversationalist at heart. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and encouraging. I highly recommend everyone stop by this shop for all of their knitting and crochet needs. (I'm off to knit pumpkins and tube socks). Thank you so much for all that you do.

Joanie CesariOur area is very lucky to have a quality, full service yarn store like the Grumpy Goat. Susan is a delight: helpful, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with about yarny pursuits! The store has ample parking, a lovely selection of yarns and accessories like needles, hooks, etc. , well organized, very clean, and with great lighting so you can see what you are looking at! There are also classes available, and the owner has always been so willing to special-order anything I might want. In addition to all that, Susan's community commitment really stands out above and beyond "just a local business." For example, she encourages her customers to make warm items that she collects to be distributed to local warming shelters, and she keeps a Little Free Library near the store, stocked with books and other helpful goodies. These may not seem like big things, but they are big to me--I so appreciate a business owner who cares and shows it in words AND actions. Grumpy Goad Fine Yarn is totally worth the visit--full-service yarn store with a very personal touch.

As a matter of fact, all of my local crafty friends love this place. Even the dog loves the lady behind the counter. I guess that says it all.

Christy LeeIf you're a yarn crafter then this is absolutely the place to be. The layout is warm and very welcoming, they carry the highest quality yarn for very reasonable prices as well as unique yarn crafting accessories. Knitting classes are available and I can (and do) spend quite a lot of time chatting with the owner. She has a wealth of interesting facts and knowledge.
