Maja SeitzLove this place - everyone is so friendly! I have taken classes with teacher Adam for over a year now. He is a gifted teacher and a great human - always patient and approachable while teaching something that is pretty difficult, and always keeps the class so relaxed and funny. It’s impossible not to have fun, because he is always having so much fun (they say the perfect job doesn’t exist, but I’m convinced this is the perfect job for him). He fosters a very inclusive environment and makes pottery accessible to anyone. Maybe I’ll be a member someday, but I love taking classes in the meantime.

m jAdam rules. Behold my centered clay. I was able to do this after the first class. By the end of 8 weeks, I could make a little cup in one minute with my eyes closed! Adam is a truly great teacher.

Sabrina BrechI've been attending newburgh pottery for about a hear and a half. I started as a student and am now a full fledged member. The teachers are incredible. Adam- the level 1 wheel teacher is the perfect mix of articulate, patient, and constructive. The level two class with David was also incredible. Wheel throwing is difficult. Really difficult and I am so thankful to have the team at newburgh pottery to guide my learning. They have a very structured system to teaching that I have found to be very successful. Now that I am a member- I have also found an inclusive and welcoming community that helps push and support each other. I am so thankful to have found newburgh pottery and have become part of that community.

Sarah PMy husband and I were recommended to take a class at the Newburgh Pottery Studio with Adam, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We’re out of towners from Florida and thought this would be a fun date idea while visiting, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. We came in knowing absolutely nothing about pottery, and Adam did an incredible job explaining everything from start to finish. He broke down techniques, designs, and textures in a way that was easy to understand while still allowing creativity. He was extremely helpful, patient, and genuinely pleasant to learn from. The class itself was relaxed, fun, and engaging, and the other people in the class made the experience even better. It was the perfect mix of learning and enjoyment. 10 out of 10 recommend. Whether you live here, are visiting, or just passing through, this is absolutely worth checking out.
