This is a vast space with many sculptures but on a hot day I recommend taking the tram and getting off in the north woods area for a walk in the shade. Otherwise it’s mostly open fields and not much shade coverage.
Aug 11, 2026 · Google ReviewI cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Storm King! I visited with a friend who has been in a wheelchair, and I was so impressed by how accessible everything was and how incredibly kind and accommodating the staff were. Everyone went out of their way to help us navigate the park, from assisting with the tram to arranging the accessible golf cart and making sure my friend was able to see and enjoy everything comfortably. What meant the most was seeing how much the day lifted my friend’s spirits. Since being in a wheelchair, she hasn’t been able to get out and do as much as she used to, so being able to explore such a beautiful place and feel so welcomed meant more than I can say. Storm King is a very special place, made even more special by the people who work there. We will absolutely be back!
