Dana DeLorenzoJust spent the weekend up there for a beautiful wedding. The place was perfect. I can't stress that enough. Staff was amazing, from Stephanie at the front desk, Jack at valet, Randall at the tavern, and Doug at the reception, and even the young lady at the lobby gift shop.. these people went above and beyond to make sure me and my family we're more than satisfied. I'm a very picky person to please and to be honest, this place is top notch. As someone who has a bad back, I'm always concerned with waking up the next day after sleeping in a hotel bed. The bed was amazing and I woke up with no problems. I'd highly recommend this place. Top notch.

J TullierVery impressed!!! Here are a few reasons why: 1) The entire staff is very attentive! Any request is addressed. 2) Beautiful---historic hotel !!! 3) Very clean 4) Three fun bars/restaurants 5) Convenience-on post 6) The beds are super comfortable 7) Turn over your room and anything asked for is left 8) Room service 9) a Gym 10) Valet parking! 11) Pick up catering 12) Shuttle van 13) Water and snacks in Lobby 14) Gift shop 15) Wonderful views of the Hudson the grounds are breathtaking.

The staff not only in the Restaurant area but the FRONT DESK staff was outstanding gave us excellent service. The employees that were assigned to park our car valet parking will courteous kind and totally professional. My wife and I just wanted to thank everyone at Thayer Hotel for a comfortable stay we will be back. Marlena Karl

Jose DelgadoThe Thayer Hotel is absolutely gorgeous in its architecture and superb in its service to guests. My only problem is that, like other hotels in the area, their prices fluctuate depending on what events are happening. I don't begrudge any business from making money at all. But considering that its main clientele is the West Point family, every other non-WP connected hotel in the area increases their rates, and that there are never enough hotel rooms to accommodate the various cadet events, I would hope that The Thayer would price it's limited hotel space lower than its competitors to benefit those lucky enough to get a room. That being said, the facility is completely charming in its historic-military style, the service is impeccable, and the views/location ABSOLUTELY cannot be beat. Nothing like having a scotch and a cigar at the outside lounge overlooking the Hudson Bay in the fall!
