We went today and it was such an awesome experience. We got a super tall tree (~10 ft tall), and they have such a great variety. It's a family-owned business and it was a really magical experience overall — we'll be going back every year. They had apple cider donuts, apple cider, a little fire going by where they wrap up your tree and all of the staff was so helpful and really sweet. It felt like what it was like getting a tree as a kid! If you're looking for a local spot to get your tree, GO HERE. You won't regret it.
Dec 2, 2024 · Google ReviewWe found our new favorite cut-your-own Christmas tree farm! Very well laid out farm, with neat rows upon rows of well maintained, full, and yes, tall (8 feet +!) trees. Saws and trailers to bring back to the shop, where friendly staff shake, trim and wrap the tree before helping secure to your car. This year, 2023, all trees are $100, well worth it for the ease of finding a nice tree. We've been cutting our own trees at various Hudson Valley tree farms over the last 10 years and usually needed to "settle" for a scrawny tree after hours of "hunting" for a tree over crazy terrain. Farmside Acres is relatively flat, with a pretty pond and farm animals. We will definitely be returning next year!
Dec 2, 2023 · Google ReviewAwesome tree farm. Prices were great, experience was chill, no crowds, and next to a cool town with plenty to explore (cornwall). A couple of notes that are some areas of improvement. - Free cider was cold (grateful, but on a cold day, warm cider seems like the right move?) - checkout chick was a little too checked out - zero instructions (felt pretty confused on the process, a simple sign -- grab a cart, grab an axe, get a ticket, pay, load - would have been helpful -- we figured out but def spent the first 10 minutes by the fire trying to decide if it was actually as rogue as we perceived) - Jones farm fudge coupon was a beautiful touch, and honestly - you should stop by jones farm before you get to the farmside, grab some warm cider and snacks, and not expect farmside acres to fill those festive desires (outside of a warm fire and cutting down trees) - vs. resorting to the jones farm after. Luckily today was warmer - but on a sub 30 degree day, I wouldnt wanna be wondering the farm without a warm drink in hand. - All in all - it lived up to the reviews - it truly is a great spot, I just want to help set expectations. All trees are $110 - no matter what size (great deal IMO) - but CASH only so keep that in mind. Nice people, great trees. I appreciate that it's straightforward, but don't expect the song & dance of this being a full on holiday celebration - you're gonna have to bring that energy yourself. -- It's a great spot, GO, but just grab some warm apple cider before or after at Jones and you'll scratch that itch.
Dec 9, 2024 · Google ReviewBest cut your own Christmas tree place around; great selection of trees, had saws and carts, very competitively priced (cash only). Looking forward to going back next Christmas.
