This is quickly becoming my favorite diner in the Hudson Valley. Truly, I haven't been to diners for 20 years easily because they are all so lousy, and I'm not kidding. This one is not, it's delicious! The mexican wrap is outstanding and the french toast is good too. The buffalo chicken wrap is really good also. My friends had burgers and loved them as well. The prices are reasonable and portions are generous. When making the wraps, they grill them ever so slightly on both sides. It really sets them apart doing that - like the cherry on top! Oh, and the fries are amazing! Didn't want to forget mentioning them. Believe it or not, this is where Christopher Reeve (The original and best Superman) used to come because he loved their cheesecake. I know that was many years ago but this place has been around a long time and I'm so glad I decided to come. Highly recommended!!

Feb 4, 2026 · Google ReviewThe burgers are EXCELLENT. I stop in or order at least once a week for a bacon cheeseburger and fries, with a cup of brown gravy on the side for dunking the fries. It's always delicious. The deluxe with fries is cheaper than McDs or BK combo meals and so much bigger and better. Besides their burgers though, you'll likely be disappointed--unless you're an upstate NY lifer with no real experience eating anywhere else. You know, the kind of people who think dominoes and Papa John's are "good pizza" or even think it is pizza at all. To start, any time a diner has an extensive menu it's a BAD SIGN. All these reviews praising the menu size are the exact kind of people I mentioned above about pizza. And it's only because they are uneducated in food or haven't experienced much outside of their home area. A large menu means lots of precooked product being reheated, frozen food being microwaved, and ingredients being kept well past their expiration points. Large menus make ingredient costs skyrocket so they keep it down by freezing and thawing (dropping flavor, texture and quality by removing the freshness) and retaining ingredients for far too long! This is likely why I have had so many bad experiences here OUTSIDE OF MY USUAL BURGER which I still highly recommend. The fish of their fish and chips, I was able to roll it up and fold it even, and would watch it snap back to its original shape like a piece of rubber. It tasted like seaweed - that salt watery unfresh seafood taste - and salt. Lots of salt, likely used to mask how unfresh the fish was or how many times it had been frozen and thawed and frozen again, after being originally cooked months ago and then kept in the freezer until someone orders it. I tried the Alfredo and I could not stand it - again a very salty flavor and artificial taste, similar to that of a jarred product rather than being made to order. When I asked the waitress she told me they make the Alfredo sauce on a specific day and then refrigerate and use as needed - that works absolutely fine for tomato sauce and other sauces. But not for Alfredo! Because one cannot make a pot of Alfredo sauce - Alfredo sauce is the result of mixing cheeses, seasonings and grease of your meat of choice (be it bacon, prosciutto. Whatever) with the starch rich water of the boiled pasta as you make dish! Alfredo sauce is not a sauce like a tomato sauce that you make a pot. Alfredo sauce is a rich and creamy (though not containing any actual cream) sauce that, because of how it's made, can only be made to order. You cannot refrigerate it because it is the result of starchwater and cheese, a small amount of water no less, and has to be immediately mixed with pasta to create its texture. Try refridgerating an actual Alfredo dish from a quality restaurant and it'll never look or taste the same again, the creamy texture is gone for good. Meaning their Alfredo sauce here is likely a bunch of cheese mixed with dairy creams, and why it tasted salty and artificial to me and my friend who have both eaten actual Alfredo and - while not expecting an Italian gourmet dish - expected at the least an attempt to make Alfredo which is actually even easier to make on the spot than it is to make a big pot of anything, as you only have to whisk starch water with your choices of cheese and seasoning. Another example. I ordered a cheese steak sandwich. Instead of a greasy yet tender mess of low tier beef sliced thinly so you don't get that chewy rubbery texture, I got quarter inch thick cuts of that low quality beef that is rubbery chewy and not palatable at all, with a squeeze of 1988 style cheese whiz from a jar instead of actual melted cheesey goodness. The reason cheese steaks have thin cuts is to avoid this specifically, because you use low quality beef. And cheeze wiz seriously? Couldn't even be bothered to melt the cheese onto the steak? Look, I'll keep coming for the burgers. They are clearly fresh and likely made every day and cooked fresh. And the bacon they use is always cooked perfectly. But for anything else I would stand clear.
Aug 1, 2026 · Google ReviewNice waitress, big menu, clean environment and the amount of food that comes on your plate is very generous! They def don't skimp on the portions. I got the Chicken Alfredo and I could only eat half of it! Came with a salad, two different breads on the side, lots of chicken and the rest of the food left in my dish was still hot by the time I was done eating. I highly recommend!!
