Aug 27, 2026 · Google ReviewCircleville Park is a fantastic community park operated by the Town of Wallkill Parks and Recreation Department, and there really is something for everyone here. The park is home to the Clubhouse at Circleville Park, which is operated by the Boys & Girls Club of Orange County and offers youth programs and community activities. There is also an indoor gymnasium that is primarily used for Boys & Girls Club activities, but it can be rented thru the Boys & Girls Club for athletic use only (no parties or social events allowed). One of the highlights of the park is the beautiful 7-acre lake. Fishing is permitted, and there is also a designated sandy beach and swimming area that is staffed by lifeguards at certain times. I recommend checking with the Town of Wallkill Parks and Recreation Department for current lifeguard schedule. The lake also offers pedal boat rentals by the hour. There are 3 Pavillions available for rental, three separate themed playgrounds for different age group's, several athletic areas and plenty of open space. The park has Five athletic fields in total - three soccer fields and two baseball/softball fields. When local leagues or scheduled team activities are not actively using the fields they are open for casual public use on a first-come first-served basis. The park also has an outdoor basketball court and four tennis/pickleball courts. For those who enjoy walking, there are multiple trails throughout the park. The lake Henneside loop is an unpaved trail that circles the lake, while the newer Milk Trail provides a paved walking route. The park also recently added brand new dog park, which is a great addition for local dog owners. There are 2 sets of public restrooms available throughout the park. During busy sports seasons, portable toilets are also sometimes placed near the athletic fields for additional convenience. It is worth noting that the main restrooms may occasionally be restricted from general public use when they are being used by the Boys & Girls Club, particularly during the youth summer camp and throughout the school year when Children are present. This is completely understandable given the Parks use by youth programs, but it is something visitors need to be aware of. There are also charcoal grills located throughout the park that visitors can use at no charge, with picnic tables conveniently located nearby. This makes the park a great place to bring the family for a picnic, cookout, or day outdoors. Parking is available, but during busy periods, especially when sports and other activities are taking place, finding an available parking spot can sometimes be difficult. If i had one complaint about the park, it would be that i think additional parking would be helpful during peak times. Other than the parking situation during busy periods, I really can't find much to complain about. Circleville Park is a very well-rounded community park with recreation, sports, walking trails, fishing, swimming, boating, playgrounds, a dog park, picnic areas, and plenty of space to relax. Considering there is no general admission fee, it's a great resource for the community and definitely worth visiting.
