This will be a long review. 8/8/2026 - 8/9/2026 I parked my semi truck across the street at the Pilot to take my 34 hour break. I had planned on only going here for dinner, but I found the food and the waitress staff to be very polite and inviting; so I decided to go again to have lunch and have dinner, so three meals. On 8/8 (Dinner): My waitress was Dana (hello Dana). She was very pleasant, attentive, and very personable. Thank you for that Dana. I had their Stuffed Cabbage Special. It came with 2 stuffed cabbage, choice of potato, choice of vegetable, and choice of soup or salad. I chose french fries, homemade Manhattan Clam chowder, and stewed green beans. It was all excellent, made with care, had that “home cooked meal” feeling. I then had a piece of their homemade plain cheesecake. 8/9 (Lunch): I do not remember who my waitress was, but she was attentive and pleasant. I had the Stewart Burger special. It included choice of potato and a side cup of coleslaw. The burger was two fresh made patties that were served open face on a bun, with cheese. I declined the tomato and lettuce, and asked for the onion rings to be on the side. I could tell the burger patties were made fresh because they were not perfectly round like processed ones would be. i had no desert. 8/9 (Dinner): My waitress was Dana (hello again Dana). She wad very pleasant again and even remembered me very warmly with a smile and a wave. She was very attentive, treated me as an old friend of hers, and was very personable. In fact, at one point after dinner and I was just relaxing, we got into a very pleasant conversation. I also want to say hello to the other very sweet younger Latina waitress, who at the time was wearing I believe like a white shirt; I feel bad because I never asked her name, but her and I got into a nice long conversation. Thank you to the both of you for making me feel welcomed and like an old friend you had not seen for a while! It was nice as being by myself on the road does tend to get lonely at times. Anyway, as far as what I ate. I took the prime rib special. I estimate it was about 16-18 ounces with rib bone attached. It was very flavorful and well cooked. It came with choice of potato (I chose french fries), choice of veggies (I chose mixed veggies), and choice of soup or salad (I chose salad this time). All the rest of the stuff was well prepared. For dessert, I chose a piece of their homemade carrot cake. It was excellent! I do recommend and I will keep this place saved. History Side note: The owner told me she has owned the place since 1983. She is usually there and is a very kind lady. Trucker Side note: there is parking behind the restaurant, but it is requested that if you park there, at least go in and but a piece of pie or coffee. I was told that the standing rule is that if you buy nothing, they will ask you to leave after 24 hours. If you buy something, they will allow you to stay longer. I see it as respect. They are asking you to at least buy coffee or a pie; but their food is very affordable and worth it.

Aug 18, 2026 · Google ReviewStuck in the area for the weekend. We walked over from the Pilot. 1st day we both had there named Stewart Airport Burger. It was wonderful. Fresh, juicy, and filling. On Sunday we went at lunch time. My co-driver had the prime rib. It was super juicy and alot. He's a big guy and couldn't finish it all. I ordered the flounder meal. It came with a salad that was big enough to be a meal in its self. 3 Large pieces and fries. I brought back 1 piece and over half the fries. But since Sundays is my cheat day, I ordered the " Taxi driver" for dessert. Let's say it was totally worth what ever it cost. Only thing I got a picture of. We will definitely be back when in the area.
Mar 22, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is usually a favorite of mine but the ball fell short of a basket tonight. Stuffed peppers were good but cool, not hot at all. Iced tea had no ice. Really disappointed because they were a favorite and I always referred them.
Dec 5, 2025 · Google Reviewthe waitress when i ordered for takeout last night was EXTREMELY nice and pleasant to deal with. i have had mixed experiences in the area. usually met with hostility and prejudice. and im not the victim type. she gave me a great experience i expected them to be rude to me as pretty much every business in the area has been while i've been here for work the past couple months. they see a huge black guy with jewelry and honestly some of the stuff ive dealt with around the area was uncalled for. rarely pull the race card as im also white. but it felt very good to finally be respected normally. i will stop here more often.
