I had a wonderful stay at the Caldwell House Bed & Breakfast during a solo, art-filled long weekend. It was the perfect home base for exploring the incredible art destinations in the area. Being just minutes from Storm King Art Center made it easy to spend time wandering the sculpture landscape, and I also visited Dia Beacon and Chapel of Sacred Mirrors before ending the weekend with an unforgettable Kim Gordon concert at Storm King. The Caldwell House itself is beautiful, full of historic charm and tasteful antique touches. I especially appreciated the self-serve coffee bar, which was a perfect way to start each morning. The peaceful outdoor spaces were just as inviting and made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. If you’re planning an arts-focused getaway—or simply looking for a quiet, welcoming place to unwind—I highly recommend the Caldwell House. It was the perfect retreat and made my solo weekend even more memorable.
Jul 5, 2026 · Google ReviewWe booked the entire property for our wedding weekend and couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. All the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The property itself is picturesque and made for a beautiful background for some of our weddings. The bridal suite on property made getting ready easy and seamless. The houses are well equipped for a relaxing weekend, and breakfast was delicious. Dena was an incredibly welcoming and helpful host, and ensured that everything ran smoothly that weekend. We are returning for our anniversary weekend, and can’t wait to spend many more weekends to come at Caldwell House!
Jun 19, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is a beautiful bed and breakfast with first-class accommodations. The room was warm, welcoming, clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The service was excellent - before and during our stay. Dena took great care to ensure that our expectations were met and that all dietary considerations were taken into account for a lovely breakfast. I highly recommend Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast.
Jun 22, 2026 · Google ReviewWe loved our stay at the Caldwell House! Went for a long weekend to celebrate an anniversary and it was exactly what we wanted. The room was spacious, beautiful and clean, and the bed was very comfortable! We had a small private balcony and a large jacuzzi tub. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious. The location feels secluded but it’s a short drive to Newburgh where we had an excellent dinner. We checked out the Brotherhod winery which was only a few minutes away and Weirs ice cream right down the road! Lots of hiking nearby as well. We plan to return annually for future anniversaries!
May 8, 2026 · Google ReviewBeautiful stay. Dena was an amazing host and her breakfast was great--including the thoughtful consideration for an allergy in my party. Our room was comfortable, classy and most importantly homey. We felt very welcome and relaxed during our stay. The location was so convenient with the drive to Storm King not even 10 minutes away and Beacon/the riverfront a short but beautiful 25ish minutes by car. We would absolutely stay again!
