AlainA nice escape from Manhattan, just about an hour away. The area offers hiking, skiing, and an ice‑skating rink. Most rooms are located around the inn rather than inside it (a quick 1–2 minute drive), so keep that in mind. You can dine at the inn or grab something from their café, but I’d recommend exploring the great food options in nearby Cold Spring, where there are plenty of shops and eateries. If you’re in the area, West Point Academy and Bannerman Castle are also close by

Guille SallatoEverything was beautiful: the surrounding nature, the mountains, the lake, and the incredible infrastructure. Everything was very well built and maintained. It's an excellent place to relax and have fun. The rooms were very comfortable. The food at the main restaurant was incredible.

Martin KippThere is nobody (no staff) at this location. If you need any service you have to drive to the other side of the lake to the inn where the concierge desk is. It's just a no frills place to sleep. The lodge has a nice little balcony and a sitting area but there was no staff at any time of the day when we stayed there. Also when you come out you can only go right. If you want to go north you have to turn around at the inn. Seem like a reasonable price but again, it's not the Bear mountain Inn!
