We sampled a delightful array of starters and mains, but the Chicken 65 was the undisputed star — succulent, impeccably spiced, and cooked to absolute perfection. A true masterclass in flavor. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegant and welcoming, with soulful Indian melodies playing softly in the background that transport you straight to the subcontinent. Service was exemplary from start to finish. Our waiter, Mr. Paul, delivered hospitality at its finest attentive without being intrusive, remarkably knowledgeable, and orchestrated our entire dining experience with seamless precision. He genuinely elevated the lunch And the mango lassi? Simply divine. Velvety, refreshingly authentic, and the quintessential summer indulgence. dining experience that’s absolutely worth the visit.

Robert Greene CPA CMACOMPLETELY EXCELLENT: Easy parking. Beautiful place. Airy light incense smell, nice when we walked in. Crispy Papadum brought out promptly takes the edge off the hunger. Gobi Manchurian cauliflower appetizer was delish and enjoyed. Channa masala with rice was delish and always makes me happy. Kashmiri naan is my favorite. Wife was satisfied with lamb. Pina colada was tasty. Spice was perfect. Service was perfect. Beautiful ambiance, see the pictures. We enjoyed this restaurant. Will be happy to return. Can I get a click?

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. I ordered the dosa, and it was outstanding—perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with flavorful sambar and chutneys that really elevated every bite. You can tell care and authenticity go into the preparation. What truly made the evening special was how accommodating the kitchen was. My wife asked about a mango paneer dish, and they graciously prepared it just for her—even though it wasn’t on the menu. It was beautifully balanced, with a rich, slightly sweet mango flavor that paired perfectly with the paneer. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, genuine hospitality, and a willingness to go the extra mile for their guests. Saffron delivered on all fronts. We’ll absolutely be back.

Tootsie Williams (Tootsie Williams)A top of being given a rose with thorns… The evening started with promise and fell apart with salty lamb chops and a less than caring owner/ manager… you would think on Mother’s Day when you make a special trip to eat some where you would get better treatment when you let the owner know there is a problem with food. Instead, I’m told it’s the same marinade and nobody else complained… Not offered another dish, no sorry or nothing. The servers were the ones trying to ease the situation horrible service from the manager… not until I complained and started to write this review, then I get attention and some concern…I love the Newburgh restaurant and in my opinion, the food is better!
