Oasis in a food desert! What a great place. You can tell everything about it is made with love. Love of food and love of humanity. I only stopped in for takeout lunch, but I got Pernil (roast pork) cooked to perfection—like I only remember having it in NYC—and rice and beans. Delicious. And grabbed some signature empanadas for later. You can’t find food like this within 100 miles. Looking forward to going back when I get a chance.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. Randomly stopped and couldn't have been more pleased with the food and the service. The food was delicious, extremely reasonably priced and quite an array of options. The service was even better - attentive, respectful, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Will absolutely be back, not only because I cannot find guava and cheese empanadas anywhere else but the service was 10/10!

I've wanted to try this place for a while and I'm glad I finally had the chance to. I wasn't able to try everything that I wanted to but I grabbed what I felt would be the most important item they sell, which is of course an empanada. I tried their beef, beef with cheese, and grabbed some maduro balls. The beef empanada was good, a bit greasier than I had hoped but thankfully there were napkins in the bag. I felt it could have been a bit more full but when is enough ever enough? The beef and cheese was good also (my favorite of the two). The shells were crispy and flaky. The filling was seasoned well (I was hoping there would be some manzanillas chopped up but no luck). The maduro balls were interesting and I'm a fan. I think I liked these more than the empanadas honestly. Very interesting take. I would have loved a little sauce with them but aside from that, very good. I ordered to go so I can't speak on the atmosphere much, but overall I'd order from them again. In the near future I'll try a few different flavors and possibly update my rating.

omg i just discovered this place. I got: Puerto Rican Pernil Meal Mexican Street Corn Alcapurrias Apple Pie Empanada total was $26 (!!!!!). the Pernil is going to feed me for days on its own. the Corn isn't on the cobb and instead of loose in a contrainer and omg it must be like 4 cobbs worth of corn and SOOOO good. Speaking of the Pernil (puerto rico pulled pork with rice and beans) its to die for. Best pork I've had in years. My wife had the Apple Pie Empanada for her dessert and said it was delicious. I was so full from the Pernil and the corn I didn't even try the Alcapurrias but will give that a try after reheating it in the air fryer tomorrow. I think i've found my new FAVORITE restaurant in the Newburgh/Montgomery area. so happy I went to try it. best meal I've had in a long time and costs less then fast food and will be like 4 meals for me.

SUCH an amazing find on rainy day! the staff was warm and welcoming, the chef was gracious and funny, and the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! The menu had options that satisfied a wide range of diets and preferences, my vegan sister, my picky eating niece and nephew and my lactose intolerant self all left full and happy! We've been looking for a reason to make a trip back that way ever since!
