What a day at Dayes Coffee Roasters! I was nearby and heard great things about this shop, so I had to stop in (though it was 5pm) to try their coffee. It was great and full-bodied for an espresso. I hope I am describing that right as I learn how to develop my palete for recognizing the notes. A little tangy (or tart ... thanks Morgan and Karina for your input and service ... so helpful). There was a selection of beans to smell before purchasing, but I was sold already by the name. The smell confirmed it. That Fruity Dream 😍 😋 though ... oof! I bought a batch. I might not typically spend this amount for the quantity, but I could tell it was a high quality roast with a fermented twist, so it felt exclusive. Plus, there was only 1 bag left ... my bag 😁 I had a great time conversing with Morgan and Karina (I apologize if I spelled your name wrong) about available coffees, flavor profiles, and more. Thank you for your patience and great service! I will definitely return and come with my wife so we can enjoy some of mango bingso and croffles. I Other notable features of this chill atmosphere include the meeting room and outside space. This is a gem in the city!

DAYES Coffee Roasters is a beautiful spot, inside and out. I loved the cozy back porch and the ex-chair out front—it’s such a nice touch! The bathrooms were clean, which is always a plus. The affogato al caffè was hands down the best in town, and the cappuccino was awesome. Having half and half available was a bonus too. However, with prices this high, I’d expect more welcoming service. There were three people behind the counter, but no one engaged until it was my turn to order. Eye contact and a friendly vibe would make the experience much better. Also, the pastries didn’t stand out; they looked dry and all the same. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I definitely spent way more than anyone would want to on coffee. Especially in a small town like this. They had city prices. Definitely cute spot and a work space available for purchase.. I would come back

I’ve been here a couple of times and had a few items off their menu so far. Every single item has been delicious! The staff is very kind and helpful. I’d also like to make mention of how clean the cafe is! I would definitely recommend trying Dayes Cafe.

I really liked this place when I found it last week and came back multiple times since but I was off put by my last visit today. I mentioned that it was my younger sisters birthday, and I was taking her here to try the crepe cake. We chose dine in but our order was packed to go, and when we sat down and opened up the cake it was completely frozen to the point where i couldn’t even push my finger into it. I mentioned it to the lady working behind the counter and she said that it needed to thaw, but I told her I came here to celebrate my sisters birthday, how is she supposed to eat her cake? I also just found it very confusing that after choosing dine in we were served a frozen piece of cake. I didn’t want to make it a big deal so we just put it back in our bag and sat for a few minutes before getting ready to leave. When walking out the door the lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted a refund, and I told her I didn’t want to fuss about it and it was ok but I would probably have to microwave the cake when I get home. She suggested I get a refund and I said ok if you think so, I’ll take the refund and she asked for the piece of cake back and said that next time to save her the trouble I should’ve asked if the cake was thawed or not, despite it being on display for customers to eat. I think that if you’re serving thawed products you should do that in the refrigerator or the back room so customers don’t ask for something and get served a completely frozen sweet. Long story story, ordered a piece of cake for my sisters birthday and they served it frozen and when the woman suggested a refund I thought we would be able to keep the cake because I told her we had touched it and she took it back, felt like a big tease to my sister who was extremely upset. Very disappointing I just ended up going somewhere else, and I’ll learn to make the cake I’ve been buying here at home instead of shopping here again which is sad because the place was very nice.

Dayes is truly a treasure in the heart of Middletown. At Dayes the coffee is always consistent with the same great flavor and delicious smell from the first time. The decoration and arrangement of the interior makes it inviting to stay enjoying the peaceful, relaxing music accompanying the essence of the place . Dayes staff seems to be quiet but always polite and professional. I truly appreciate the great coffee and service that Dayes is giving to Middletown .
