Robert FontaineThis place has been catching my eye for a few a couple of years now. Driving by on multiple occasion, I have been promising myself to just stop in and have a bite every time I drive by. Driving home to Newburgh last night with my family, after a sports practice, we passed it again. I stopped, made a U turn and said, ... "This is it." So very glad, we did. I'm also a restaurant owner, and knows how important it is for customers to share their thoughts about the service and food. But please, if possible and the owners are present, say hi and share your thoughts or disappointments. Nothing is ever 100%, although owners strive for 1000%. There are so many variables that can make a dining experience horrible or great. But always know that owner operators always strive for the best service, and that they depend on a you having a good experience and good ratings for return business and new customers. The husband and wife team that run and own Clarke's Cafe are truly wonderful people, who deserve all of the blessings the universe can grant. The depth of love and care they give to Clarke's, providing such exceptional service to the community and their customers is awe inspiring . It was for me. Customers in general really have no understanding as to the amount of blood, sweat and tears that goes into running a food establishment. The amount of stress, lack of sleep, trying to raise a family, and debt one has to carry, for what really is a minimally unrewarding industry. At Clarke's cafe, though, you'll never see the behind the scenes. The minute you step in the door, you are greeted warmly, not mechanically, and feel like you have come home to a delicious comfort food expereince. Portions are generous!! Atmosphere is cozy. The retro feel diner always makes you feel right at home. Thank you for allowing us to be taken care of by you! We'll be back!

Clinton “Gingie Beard” NewkirkAmazing place for a nice comfort food. We went for dinner and had some burgers which were some of the best we have had. They were juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Good music playing in the backround, nice 50-60's decor. The staff were amazing, kind, welcoming and accommodating. My 3 year old asked for strawberries and tge gentleman diced some up and got us some. Amazing service in this day and age of get them in and get them out dining. If you are in the area, want good classic burgers stop by you won't be disappointed.

Esther PFirst time eating from here and it won’t be my last! I just wanted a quick bite so I got chicken tenders and fries with some soft serve of vanilla ice cream. Yummy! You can eat inside or outside. The owner and staff are very friendly. Ample parking on the premise. There is a 3.99% credit charge.

Sunshine DaydreamMy client and I Absolutely love going to Clark’s, the food is great and the owner is so personal it makes it feel like home. food: the portions of food to me are just right, not to much and not to little, her ice cream is even very yummy. I will be ordering one of her ice cream cakes for my son’s 6th birthday. The pulled pork is my fav next to that her Philly cheesesteak that is a big hit as well. GOOD EATS, GOOD COMPANY, just go you won’t regrets it! 🙂 🙂
