Michael SchleiferLast night was my first at City Winery in a while, and I was reminded why it has been my favorite NYC music venue since discovering it in 2010. Of course the music was outstanding, Justin Hayward and a terrific band. Food was very good and service excellent. Between Varick Street and the current location, have seen over 100 shows there. For those who don't live in Manhattan it's easy to get to by car and street parking is almost always available.

Bryan TakeuchiAbsolutely incredible experience and meal. We started with a wine tasting, with Maria (I hope that was her name, because ngl I drank quite a bit that day), who was absolutely wonderful. Walked us through a bunch of different wines and found one that both my wife and I enjoyed; which is hard to do since I enjoy red wine and shes a white wine girl! After our tasting we had dinner reservations. Our waitress was truly wonderful, helped us navigate the menu and answered honestly when I asked for preferences. For appetizer we got the shrimp ceviche; the cucumber with it added a wonderful freshness. The spicy rigatoni a la vodka was absolutely incredible 🤌 the steak I added to it was cooked perfectly medium, juicy, and tender. My wife got the salmon with the miso corn puree and tomato jam, it was such a wonderful medly of flavor and the salmon was perfectly seasoned and cooked. For dessert we got some kind of cheesecake that was absolutely wonderful. We live so close by here, but this was our first time coming for food outside of an event and we most definitely will be coming back!

Terrance WAgain I wish that there was a way to give half a star. If I could rate it so City Winery 🍷 would be 4.5 for me. A little tricky to get to but worth the trek. They have plenty of free outdoor lot parking although if there is an event going on you could have a hike to the entrance. The grounds are full of well placed large industrial parts poetically rusting in place. Once inside the grandeur continues. Make sure that you walk the grounds and see the whole inside including the event space. On this visit the food salmon that was ordered was VERY GOOD. The meatball appetizer and the pork belly were so-so to me. Both were good but perhaps they did not use the best quality beef or pork. This simply my speculation. That is the minus one star 🌟 for this place. The menu is very limited AND not all of the choices, even things as simple as a burger, are not always delicious. I personally do not fancy alcohol but my party enjoyed 🤪 the free wine samples and the glass that they ordered. I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK to this place. I think that you should go also. Make it during daylight hours so that you can enjoy all of the sights. Have fun but don't expect a mouthwatering gourmet meal 😋 As always your mileage may vary.
