Donna Small LoversoMy husband and I were interested in going for lunch and getting Mexican and when we were in Newburgh someone mentioned a different place but I wasn't crazy about the reviews. So I found this place and thought we'd give it a try and I'm so grateful we did! We felt like we walked right into Mexico when we first walked in!!! The tables and chairs are so beautifully hand painted by a famous painter in Mexico. The atmosphere was decorated in many beautiful colors and all things from their heritage. It made us truly feel like we were on vacation in Mexico!!! Antonio was our waiter and he was truly fantastic he highly recommended a dish that we absolutely went nuts over and never ordered before... But I can't remember what it was called but it had several meats, cactus and onion along with shrimp with an outstanding cheese sauce with onions and mushrooms!!!! Oh my word, it was off the charts delicious! I also read a review that mentioned that they're salsa was terrible and I'm so glad I still went and we loved it and even asked to take some home! Apparently that person didn't know what good homemade salsa is!!!! We had such a lovely time there and especially with Antonio taking such good care of us. Though we didn't order desert, Antonio treated us to a dish(a small tortilla with banana inside and whipped cream on the outside with a drizzle of chocolate!!!!! That's more than just being a waiter, we felt like we were visiting his home 🇲🇽 We wish to thank this young man and his family for treating us like family!!!! And we will be back for sure to check out those nachos supreme!!!!!! 😋😋🌮🫔. This place is truly a lovely gem and run by a family, with a good heart to share good homemade food with a friendly atmosphere💚🤍❤️ We hope you will have an as good experience as we had 😊😋. Highly recommend 😋

Tails R WagginGreat service and Amazing food! We make the drive from 30 minutes away just to enjoy the food! Couldn't recommend this more!! Drinks are also amazing! Give it a try you will not be disappointed!!

Quinn FavoBorderline between 3 and 4 stars. I hope that next time the salad will be fresh and not covered with oil but unfortunately this time it was struggling😅. The rest of the food was OK, standard tex-mex style

Jeremy DanielSo glad we found Chilito's tonight!! We were on our way home from a great day out, and dinner time was calling. We both were in the mood for Mexican, so we Google'd. Landed on Chilito's in Newburgh -- and so happy we did! Wonderful, authentic Mexican food (the fish tacos were SLAMMIN'!), awesome service, really fun atmosphere, and what seems to be a terrific family-run business. You can tell they cared about service & quality. And so easy to get to -- right off of I-84 (and also right off of the NY Thruway). We'll definitely be back!

Muriel AkinsI love Mexican food first time there I'll be back it was my BIRTHDAY the food was delicious hot the steak dishes were tender rice was seasoned perfectly the refried beans omg the best I've ever had I couldn't finish my meal because I ate the beans and rice off my plate first to full after that everyone took food home they also sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY Song I'll be back
