Our favorite diner in this area of New York worthy of eating multiple meals at. In the Art-Deco style clean and well maintained with very friendly service. We enjoyed the Reuben Panini, as well as the French Dip (sliced roast beef & Swiss cheese served with a side of "Au Jus"); that said, the Reuben was our favorite. We finished the meal with a fresh slice of delicious strawberry cheesecake. All the desserts were advertised they were baked on the premises and we sure could taste the freshness.

So we walked in the door looking for a slice of cheesecake...and left 30 minutes later with 5 pieces of various cakes! Owner/manager met us at the door, sold us dessert on the spot when we asked about the selections at the counter. He was great and a super salesman too! Would recommend to anyone for a sweet treat!

This is a nice but busy diner located at the border of the Town and the City of Newburgh. The food and service is very good and it has a nice atmosphere. Just be warned that making a left turn out of both exits is difficult due to the high traffic volume.

My husband drove up 6 hours to visit me while I have my summer field Ed in rural NY. We stopped at Alexis diner for cake & the manager brought us a piece of his favorite cake, too! Upon hearing we were celebrating, he brought an assortment for us to take home. The matzo ball soup is the best I’ve ever eaten with fluffy matzo & broth with veggies. The portions are generous, the prices super reasonable & the service kind, fast & efficient. We may even drive up from DC next just to have soup, sandwiches & cake! 10/10 Came back with friends!

I recently stopped by Alexis Diner and had a very enjoyable experience overall.
