UPDATE! I loved the storm King Lodge so much that me and my fiance booked it for our wedding in the beginning of September. The lodge provided the best wedding venue at the best price around for us and our guests between the landscape and scenery, the rooms, the balcony, history of the lodge, and of course the family are amazing to deal with! We would absolutely book here again in a heart beat! *********************** I loved my stay at Storm King. It was like stepping back in time with the beautiful wooden architecture and the incredible scenery surrounding the property. It was not far from town but secluded enough surrounded by nature with a mountain not far away as you walked out the front door. It was a nice blend of old meets present. The bed was very comfortable and loved the old time feel with still having modern-day conveniences. I appreciated having a full frame steamer to hang my clothes to steam and iron. The kitchen was stocked with k cups and tea bags! Also noticed a nice ninja blender for smoothies as well as a toaster. The owner was extremely friendly and responsive! For my first time ever staying there i was very impressed with both the stay and the owner! Highly recommend!
Oct 10, 2026 · Google ReviewI stayed there recently during May 2026. First, the entire lodge is done up with an excellent rustic Eastern New York Hill country farm home feel, Its blended with modern amenities. Wi-Fi TV a new water filtration system as well as safety features around the property that don’t obscure the country feel but make the stay very comfortable. The property itself is surrounded by several forests and hiking trails in the area most notably, the Storm King Arts center , which is only a few minutes away. There are several colonial era landmarks to take in, including the academy at West Point, which is only a few minutes away from the lodge itself. All around the lodge are great views of the Hill country and the owners who live only a few minutes away in the off chance that something is needed are right there. Otherwise they just simply leave the guests to enjoy their experience. So whether you’re a single traveler, a couple or even a family, if it’s visiting ,vacationing or just relaxing, this lodge is an excellent experience for all of it.
May 16, 2026 · Google ReviewMy family very much enjoyed our stay at Storm King Lodge. The lodge is comfortable and beautiful: the rooms are in and under the loft of a converted barn, and the body of the barn is a wonderfully comfortable open area with a large dining table, sofa and chairs, a small kitchen, and access to a lovely covered stone veranda. A refrigerator is available for guests, prestocked with convenience items, but perfect for stashing snacks or groceries if taking over the place for a family gathering. It struck us as a perfect location to get two families together because each can have their own room(s) and spend time together in the ample communal space, both indoors and out. The location is fabulous, very close to Storm King and only a few minutes from several towns with restaurants and other interesting haunts. The innkeepers are friendly and very helpful. We fully intend to come back!

Jul 27, 2020 · Google ReviewMy boyfriend and I ventured north from NYC specifically to visit Storm King Art Center during one of its winter weekends and chose the Storm King Lodge for its proximity. We lucked out and had the entire place to ourselves, making great use of the beautiful fireplace in the great room. We stayed in the Lavender Room which also had its own fireplace and was very comfortable and equipped we everything we needed. Hal is an absolute gem and one of those people you feel like you've known for years within minutes of meeting him. He made great restaurant recommendations and delicious breakfasts, including gluten free blueberry pancakes. We loved our cozy winter weekend stay and plan to come back again to experience the lodge in a warmer season.
Jan 25, 2020 · Google ReviewI travelled with 3 friends to visit storm king arts center and other attractions in the area in October and spent 2 nights at this fabulous B&B. The owner - Hal - welcomed us like we were family and was a great resource for things to do in the area. The breakfast -which was included was fabulous - all homemade - not your ordinary breakfast. Each morning was something different. It was a great time to talk to Hal and get to meet other guests too. The common room has a beautiful fireplace and plenty of wood to keep it going. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back.
Dec 15, 2019 · Google ReviewThis is a very nice bed and breakfast in a quiet location. Hal, the owner, is service oriented and took care of every need that I had. The living room of this place is very cozy, all wood. The room very comfortable and clean and good internet connection.
