Rachel H⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oak & Reed was truly such a special experience from start to finish! The vibe was 100% — such a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere, and the food was absolutely amazing. Our server, Lexi, was the sweetest! She was so personable, attentive, and genuinely adorable — we absolutely loved her. Daniel, the manager (and a fellow Philly native!!), even made a point to stop by our table after hearing we were also from the area, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. You can genuinely tell how much care goes into both the service and the food here. Nothing felt forced or transactional — it truly felt like they cared about making our experience memorable. My partner and I had just finished touring a wedding venue nearby, so ending such a special day here made the whole experience even more memorable. 🥹 We already know Oak & Reed will become a staple for us whenever we’re in the area, and this is one of those dinners we’ll always remember. They also gave us cookies on the house 😻. Thank you so much to Lexi, Daniel, and the entire Oak & Reed team for making our night so great. We can’t wait to come back! 🤍

James HA gem in Middletown! We heard about this restaurant and wanted to check it out for ourselves. We booked a dinner reservation and when we arrived we were greeted and quickly taken to our table. The server was friendly and pointed out the different options on the menu and we ordered appetizers which included the O & R cornbread with peach butter and Esquites corn with cotija and cilantro was a perfect starters to share. The main course I enjoyed the half Peruvian chicken “Aji Panca” that was charred and smoky, served over rice with a bright herb sauce and crispy yuca awesome combo of flavors and textures. My wife had the “Grilled Skirt Steak” that was cooked perfectly to medium-rare, topped with chimichurri, and came with a charred corn and pepper succotash that was almost better than the steak itself. After the meal we had a visit from Chef Luis (which was a nice surprise) to ask us how we enjoyed the meal. Overall thoughts, portions are generous, flavors are well-balanced, and you can tell the kitchen puts real thought into every plate. Highly recommend!

The HousekeeperI can’t say enough good things about this place. We went there for our anniversary and from the beginning we really appreciated our server Lexi. She was kind and attentive and always checked up on us. We’d go back just for her service alone. But the food and drinks were awesome too. The Korean Fried Broccoli was awesome. Basically tempura broccoli with a nice sauce. Loved it. The pappardelle was recommended to me by Lexi and I am happy I listened. It was very yummy. We also got the duck and found it to be flavorful and yummy. The drinks were phenomenal. We will definitely go back.

Marni WassermanBeautiful modern atmosphere with delicious American cuisine 😋 We had a large party of 14 - the service was extremely organized and the servers were friendly and accommodating. The food was a little on the heavy side but they had some lighter options like the roasted beet salad which was FANTASTIC. Highly recommended!

Niza EricksonThis was my second event at Oak & Reed, and once again, everything was absolutely wonderful. This time I hosted a Kentucky Derby themed brunch with my “Chicas del Cafecito,” and the experience was amazing from beginning to end. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was beautiful and exceeded expectations. Working with Laura has been such a pleasure. She is always so kind, professional, accommodating, and attentive to every detail. She truly helps make the entire planning process smooth and enjoyable. I absolutely love hosting events here and look forward to many more in the future. Highly recommend!
