Lia MargaritaIt’s a Wednesday night, but honestly, it feels like a Friday—all I want to do after this meal is party! The food was absolute perfection. Properly seasoned with real herbs and ingredients—cilantro, tomatillos, chiles—not toned down at all. Purely authentic and deliciosos! We got the birria chimichanga special, the platillo tradicional combo, and a blue sangria that tasted amazing and set the vibe just right. The staff was pleasant, accommodating, and made us feel right at home. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! combo. Also ordered a blue sangria that set the vibe right and was very tasty!!

Steve in NEPA (Steve in NEPA)I was craving Mexican food for lunch today, and since El Patron was just 15 minutes away and I had never tried it before, why not give it a shot? Arriving at 1pm, I got a good feeling about the place as there were several (10 or more) people dining there. But the food feeling soon stopped. First impressions: The parking lot and surrounding area had a lot of garbage strewn around, and the lot itself needed some repair. The setting is nice, but the building itself looked a bit ramshackled. The decor inside was typical of most Americanized Mexican restaurants. Service was prompt, and my order came out quickly, but that's where service stopped. I finished my diet coke and wanted another, but spent a majority of my time eating my meal with no refill. The food was okay, but the presentation was sloppy, as if things were just plopped on the plate. It lacked real taste. And the price was a bit high for what it was. El Patron, I hoped for better.
