This was a fun find… went for dinner and the place is so fun and has great decor with Mexican flair. Very Dia de los muertos! Long bar and cute tables with all Mexican print on each one! Ordered the mushroom with chorizo very good and forgot to take picture. (Flavorful from the chorizo a bit spicy) Had the tacos al pastor (I ordered corn tortillas but they served them with flour) Ordered the birria bowl and it came with consomé on the side. (Great flavor and added meat) The birria burrito was good and stuffed (side consomé as well) Overall a good experience-The service was so so.
Jul 31, 2026 · Google ReviewHonestly such a cute spot and a really fun vibe for a date night. The aesthetic is gorgeous and I love that it’s in an old Masonic building, it just makes the whole experience feel a little more unique. The food was definitely good and everything we had was tasty, but coming from NYC, especially Queens, where you can get really authentic Mexican food so easily, it didn’t fully give that same authentic vibe. Still enjoyable, just not something that completely blew me away. The drinks have been a little inconsistent in my experience, but still very good overall. I do have to mention that during our most recent visit, my husband asked for a lime wedge for his beer and was handed a lemon by the server with bare hands, which is honestly unsanitary. The churros were amazing though, definitely a highlight. Overall, I would still come back. It’s a solid spot, especially for the area, and perfect for a cute night out. Just don’t go in expecting it to be the most authentic Mexican food you’ve ever had, go for the vibe, the drinks, and a good time ✨
Mar 17, 2026 · Google ReviewI love eating at this local restaurant and the food is excellent EXCEPT the chips! On two separate visits I've actually sent them back because they tasted burned. I'm seriously tempted to bring my own chips on my next visit so I can enjoy the terrific salsa! Get it together Boneyard and you'll get 5 stars!
Aug 8, 2026 · Google ReviewKim at Boneyard Cantina is hands down the best server ever. Every time we come in, she remembers our orders, checks in at just the right times, and somehow manages to make the whole experience feel personal and fun. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Service like that is rare, and it’s the reason we always look forward to coming back. If you’re lucky enough to have Kim as your server, you’re in the best hands!
